Amanda Rolon is a 2L originally from Brooklyn, New York and received her undergraduate degree from CUNY Hunter College where she majored in English Literatures, Language, and Criticism. Before entering law school, Amanda gained real world experience as an Intelligence Analyst for the NYC Business Integrity Commission to better prepare her for the corporate world. Amanda was able to apply the knowledge she obtained during her 1L year at her summer legal intership with the Bribriesco Law Firm, PLLC in Iowa City, IA. Amanda’s professional interests lie in corporate compliance, investigations, and enforcement. Socially, Amanda is dedicated to ensuring a safe and inviting environment for those engaged in academic or social activities while at the University of Iowa. Amanda is a student writer on the Journal for Corporation Law. In addition to her already impressive resume, Amanda is also a member of the Pro Bono Society, Appellate Advocacy, and is the Treasurer of two other student organizations: the Hispanic/Latin Law Students Association (HLLSA) and OUTlaws, the LGBT advocoacy student organization.
